GPs play a big role to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk in Salford.
For example, the NHS is often the first point of contact for victims of domestic violence and abuse. Primary care (i.e. the first place you usually go for health advice and treatment) plays a really important role in intervening early to stop that person being harmed, provide treatment and information, and refer to specialist services.
